Automotive Stamping

One of the ways that Automotive Stampers respond to ever-more-demanding industry standards is to improve the surfaces of deep-drawn steel blanks. Quality deep-drawing depends on a consistent, tightly controlled film of lubricating oil applied by the blank washer. Wringer rolls and brush rolls are key components to achieve a clean, uniform oil application.

Wringer rolls
Our improved, patented Toho® blank-washer wringer roll brings oil-cut levels as low as 90mg/ft².  At installation, our engineers calculate each roll’s optimal operating pressure to maximize performance and longevity.  Our rolls and our expertise are a powerful combination, helping stampers produce consistent, high-quality blanks and control operating costs.

Brush rolls
Efficiently designed brush rolls not only keep debris out of wringer rolls, die systems, and transfer presses, but also reduce stress on filtration systems.  At AKK, we’ve worked with our suppliers to develop a close-wound, high-density design that concentrates brushing power at the tips of the filaments, rather than spreading it along their length as less effective conventional brushes do.
